Paratransit services are important to the community

ADA regulations in 49 CFR 37.125 sets broad requirements that all agencies must incorporate and follow.

The ADA’s intent is to integrate people with disabilities into the community more fully by making public transit more accessible. The goal is to integrate, not segregate, people with disabilities. The ADA acknowledges that not all individuals are able to use even highly accessible fixed-route, and thus requires that each public entity establish a certification process for determining ADA paratransit eligibility for complementary paratransit service.
